Meter test system for Z.Q high precision electricity meters

Test System Overview

The TR-301-ZQ meter test system is designed to test Z.Q high precision electricity meters. It is a single place test system and is equipped with a manual or a fully automated fixture. It is controlled by an industrial personal computer. A database system is used to govern test parameters and measurement results. The test system contains a three-phase power source ZETA PS331-7.5, two internal reference standard systems and a fixture for both f6 and f9 meter housing.

Power Source

The built-in power source generates a three-phase network for three-wire and four-wire connection. The power source supplies testing voltages up to 300 VAC and testing currents up to 7.5 Amps. The line frequency ranges from 40 to 70 Hz. An additional single phase voltage output is available to power auxiliary circuits.

Reference Standards

The TR-301-ZQ has two independent integrated reference standard systems. For highest precision, each reference standard system is directly connected to the load current of the meter under test. Measurement categories are energy, power, voltage, current, square voltage and square current.

Database

All measurement results are stored in a SQL database. Test parameters and measurement results are available on monitor, on printed error reports and are stored for further processing.

Software testMate

Based on the software platform ZETA testMate, the user interface allows the operator to create, save, edit or run automated testscripts. Automated meter testing is performed by running predefined testscripts. These testscripts can easily be created or modified using a text editor.

Functional Test Board (optional)

Integrated functional test board for automated testing of meter control inputs and output contacts.
